STEP INTO THE SUBLIME AT HULL’S ONLY CONTEMPORARY ART SPACE.
A legacy of Hull’s City of Culture year and an Absolutely Cultured project, Humber Street Gallery has hosted some amazing exhibitions and is the only contemporary art space in the region. This visually striking and forward-thinking gallery is a blank canvas for artists locally, nationally and even internationally to showcase their work.
Previous exhibitions include Journey to the Centre of the Couch by Ella Dorton, A Tittle-Tattle Tell-a-Tale Heart by Canadian artist Athena Papadopoulos and XXXXX: Fifty Years of Subversion and the Spirit by British artist and anarchist Jamie Reid. Whatever’s on, it’s guaranteed to be an experience like no other.
The downstairs café is open all week and is a popular place to refresh, work and chill after visiting the exhibits. The gallery often has special events, workshops and screenings and its rooftop bar with views over the Fruit Market is a popular destination on weekends.
